Hello, I’m Kerstin Kuhn.
I'm a journalist and editor with more than 15 years of experience writing about food, travel, and culture. Over the course of my career, I’ve contributed to leading publications in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the US, edited magazines, and worked across print, digital, and branded platforms. My work includes restaurant profiles, long-form features, destination guides, interviews, and content strategy, with a focus on clear, engaging, and well-reported storytelling.
I was born in Germany and have lived and worked in South Africa, the Netherlands, the UK, and now the United States. That international path has shaped both my personal life and professional perspective. I’m particularly drawn to stories with a strong sense of place, whether they explore a city’s food scene, a cultural movement, or the people behind a creative business. My work has always been driven by curiosity, and sharing stories in an authentic and accessible way.
In London, I spent over a decade working across a range of editorial roles, including as an editor for a food and hospitality title. I developed content strategies, oversaw large-scale editorial projects, and worked closely with writers, photographers, and designers to produce content that was both thoughtful and visually strong. I’ve interviewed world-renowned chefs, written about Michelin-starred restaurants and neighborhood cafés, covered emerging travel destinations, and reported on the changing landscape of global hospitality.
In 2016, I started Little Foodie Club, an award-winning baby food company focused on palate training and raising healthy and adventurous eaters from the very first bite. I developed the product line, built the brand, and scaled the business independently. It wasn’t a content project — it was a hands-on entrepreneurial venture that taught me what it means to launch, grow, and manage a business from the ground up.
Over the years, I’ve interviewed some of the world’s most celebrated chefs, hoteliers, and creative pioneers as well as Hollywood actors and local farmers. No matter who the subject is, I approach every interview the same way: with curiosity, research, and a genuine interest in telling their story truthfully.
Today, I live in Ojai, California, where I continue to write and edit for a range of clients and publications. I also run this website, You, Me & Ojai, an independent editorial project dedicated to telling thoughtful stories about the people, places, and businesses that shape life in the valley.
Thanks for popping in.
